The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X from the Vermeer processor family has 6 CPU cores based on the “Zen 3” architecture . After “Zen”, “Zen+” and “Zen 2”, this is the fourth generation of the Zen microarchitecture. Compared to the previous generation, each processor core now has access to the entire L3 cache. As a result, the performance in games could be increased significantly. In addition, the Ryzen 5000 processors offer significantly increased per-clock performance. Paired with an AMD X570 or B550 chipset, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X supports PCI Express 4.0,

which is twice as fast as PCIe 3.0-Default. All Ryzen 5000 processors use the proven AM4 platform and were developed for use with corresponding AMD chipsets. An update to the BIOS version AGESA 1.0.8.0 or newer is required .
