The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 from the Cezanne processor family has six CPU cores based on the “Zen 3” architecture. After “Zen”, “Zen+” and “Zen 2”, this is the fourth generation of the Zen microarchitecture. Compared to the previous generation, each processor core now has access to the entire L3 cache, which significantly increases performance in games. In addition, the Ryzen 5000 processors offer significantly increased per-clock performance and a higher boost clock.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5500 supports the PCI Express 3.0 standard. All Ryzen 5000 processors use the AM4 platform and were developed for use on AMD X570, X470, X370, B550, B450, B350, and A520 chipsets. The prerequisite is an update to BIOS version AGESA 1.2.0.6b or newer.
